JOSH ROCK HITS NINE-DARTER IN BELFAST PREMIER LEAGUE DEBUT DESPITE LOSS

Josh Rock made a spectacular Premier League Darts debut in Belfast on Thursday, February 26, 2026, thrilling his home fans with a perfect nine-darter. The Northern Irishman achieved the feat despite trailing 5-1 and playing below his usual level, sending the crowd into a frenzy with his moment of perfection.

Rock hit back-to-back maximums before finishing on 141 with double 12 against opponent Gian van Veen, who had previously struck a nine-darter in the final of the Poland Darts Open. Van Veen could only watch from a 501 lead as Rock completed the perfect leg, then raced off in celebration, dropping to the floor to soak up the emotional moment in front of his home supporters.

Despite the historic nine-darter, Rock ultimately lost the match 6-2 to van Veen. However, the 24-year-old will leave Belfast with what the source describes as "a precious memory" from his first Premier League appearance.
