Raymond van Barneveld boosted his confidence with two fine wins at an exhibition tournament in Wrexham, Wales, on Friday evening, despite a disappointing start to the season. The event featured no PDC competitions this weekend, allowing stars like Van Barneveld to play lucrative exhibitions for extra cash.
Alongside Van Barneveld, Stephen Bunting, Joe Cullen, and Gerwyn Price were in attendance. The evening began with a meet-and-greet where fans could get autographs or photos, followed by matches. In the first match, Van Barneveld edged out Cullen 3-1. Price then faced Bunting, with Bunting racing to a 2-0 lead before Price ultimately won 3-2.
Van Barneveld then faced Price, firing in five 180s to beat the Welshman 4-2. In the closing match, Bunting was a 4-1 winner against Bunting. The four players will meet again on Saturday evening for another exhibition event in Swansea, also in Wales.
