EUROPEAN DARTS TROPHY 2026 PRIZE MONEY REVEALED: £230,000 UP FOR GRABS IN GÖTTINGEN

EUROPEAN DARTS TROPHY 2026 PRIZE MONEY REVEALED: £230,000 UP FOR GRABS IN GÖTTINGEN

The European Darts Trophy returns to the Lokhalle in Göttingen from March 13 to 15, 2026, as part of the fifteen-event European Tour series. A total prize fund of £230,000 will be distributed among the participants, with the winner taking home £35,000. The runner-up earns £15,000, semi-finalists receive £10,000, and quarter-finalists get £8,000.

Players eliminated in the last 16 receive £5,000, while those losing in the last 32 earn £3,500. Even first-round entrants are guaranteed £1,250, with losers in the last 48 still pocketing £2,000. A special rule applies to seeded players: if they lose their opening match in the second round, they still receive prize money, but it does not count towards the rankings. However, this rule does not apply to players who qualify and later move into a seeded position due to a withdrawal, as their prize money is fully counted on the Order of Merit.

The tournament, first held in 2013 and won by Wes Newton, has seen Michael Smith claim the 2014 and 2015 editions by defeating Michael van Gerwen in both finals. Van Gerwen then won in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Last year, Nathan Aspinall took the title, making him the defending champion for the 2026 event.
