WDF WORLD MASTERS RELOCATES TO LAS VEGAS FOR 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

The WDF has announced a major venue change for the 2026 World Masters, with the prestigious tournament set to move to Las Vegas. The fiftieth edition will be held from July 14 to July 19, 2026, at the Rio Hotel & Casino, marking the first installment of a three-year agreement to stage the event in the American city. According to the federation, Las Vegas is a perfect fit for the status of the tournament, which has long been regarded as one of the most traditional championships in amateur and semi-professional darts.

Organizers expect the new location to have extra appeal for players and fans, with special arrangements made at the hotel to offer participants rooms at a reduced rate and waive resort fees when booked via the WDF. This move aims to make the trip to the United States as accessible as possible. During the six-day stint in Las Vegas, the World Masters will not be the only event on the schedule; the World Open will also be played in the same week, and there will be qualifying tournaments for the 2026 WDF World Championship. The full playing schedule and further details will be announced at a later date.

In addition to the venue change, the WDF has adjusted the qualification requirements for the upcoming edition. The updated rules have been published on the federation's official website, where an initial list of seeded players can also be found. This list will be expanded as more qualifying tournaments are completed in the lead-up to the tournament.
