Wessel Nijman has dethroned Luke Littler as the leader on the PDC European Tour Order of Merit following his victory at the European Darts Trophy in Göttingen last weekend. Nijman claimed his first Euro Tour title with an 8-3 win over Gerwyn Price in the final, earning the top prize of £35,000. Combined with £8,000 from a quarterfinal at the Poland Darts Open, his total of £43,000 propelled him to number one. Littler, who skipped the Göttingen event, sits second with £25,000, while Gian van Veen is third on £20,000.
Nijman's path to the title saw him edge Cristo Reyes 6-5 in the first round, then defeat Mike De Decker 6-2 and Gian van Veen 6-1 with a 112.87 average. In the final session, he beat Josh Rock 6-2 in the quarterfinals and Niels Zonneveld 7-1 with a 110.41 average in the semifinals before sealing the championship. Josh Rock rose three spots to fourth with £16,000, and Gerwyn Price and Chris Dobey are tied for fifth with £15,000 each. Zonneveld's semifinal run lifted him to seventh with £13,500, putting him in early contention for a European Championship debut.
Meanwhile, Michael van Gerwen has yet to register on the Euro Tour ranking after missing the Poland Darts Open due to illness and losing his opening match in Göttingen. As a seeded player, he must win his first match for prize money to count. Gary Anderson and James Wade also have no earnings, having lost immediately in Poland and withdrawn from the European Darts Trophy. In contrast, Ross Smith moved up to ninth from 13th, and players like Gerwyn Price, Damon Heta, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Niko Springer, Paul Krohne, and Boris Krcmar appear on the list for the first time this season. Stephen Bunting fell from seventh to 18th amid issues with whistling and the Niko Springer incident.
The PDC European Tour Order of Merit, based on results from fifteen events in 2026, will determine qualification for the European Championship in Dortmund, with the top 32 at season's end earning spots. The current rankings show Nijman leading with 43 units (£43,000), followed by Littler (35), van Veen (20), Rock (16), and Price and Dobey (15 each), with details extending down to 76th place.
