Three top players have pulled out of the Belgian Darts Open 2026 just a day before the Euro Tour event begins in Wieze. Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson, and Gian van Veen will not compete, with the PDC calling up replacements as per regulations.
Gian van Veen's withdrawal was anticipated after he was admitted to hospital with kidney stones, forcing him to miss Thursday night's Premier League evening in Dublin. Although he would not have played in Wieze until Saturday, it is already clear he will not be fit in time. Gary Anderson, known for regularly skipping Euro Tour events, and Gerwyn Price, who hinted last week at taking a break due to mental fatigue, have also decided not to travel. Price will still appear on Thursday night during the seventh night of Premier League Darts before taking the weekend off.
In response, the PDC has called up the three highest-ranked players from the losers' round at the Tour Card Holder Qualifier. Ricky Evans, Mickey Mansell, and Ian White have been named as replacements for the tournament.
