BEAU GREAVES TARGETS EXTENDED UNBEATEN RUN AS PDC WOMEN'S SERIES EVENTS FIVE AND SIX KICK OFF IN WIGAN

The PDC Women's Series returns on Saturday with Events Five and Six taking place in Wigan, where Beau Greaves aims to continue her darting dominance after reaching 113 matches unbeaten in Hildesheim last time out. Greaves will play this weekend as she is not involved in the European Tour, and with no ProTour action other than Premier League next week, it's an empty week for her. Two Women's Series events are scheduled for today and two for tomorrow.

Alongside Greaves, Fallon Sherrock and Lisa Ashton are among the leading lights this weekend. Ashton has made a habit of running into Greaves in the final of each Women's Series tournament recently. Other notable players include Noa-Lynn van Leuven, Aileen de Graaf, Rhian O'Sullivan, and Women's World Champion Deta Hedman, all aiming to stop the rise of Tour Card holder Greaves.

The prizes on offer include spots at the Women's World Matchplay, which operates on a year rolling system from July when the event takes place until the following season. Additionally, the PDC World Darts Championship and Grand Slam of Darts offer a multitude of spots. Unlike the Challenge Tour or Development Tour, there are no Tour Cards for the champion. All action is available on PDCTV or DartConnect, with two tournaments on Sunday.

The draw for PDC Women's Series Event Five features matchups such as Kirsi Viinikainen vs. Sue Lowther, Vicky Cauteruccio vs. Fiona Roberts, and Beau Greaves vs. Lena Welc. Other first-round pairings include Deta Hedman vs. Katie Sheldon, Lisa Ashton vs. Julie Whitehouse, and Fallon Sherrock vs. Eleanor Cairns. Several players, including Lorraine Winstanley, Donna Ralph, and Natalie Gilbert, have received byes into the next round.
