BEAU GREAVES AND LISA ASHTON SHARE SPOILS AS WOMEN'S SERIES ACTION HEATS UP IN WIGAN

Beau Greaves and Lisa Ashton emerged victorious on a dramatic Saturday at the PDC Women's Series Events Five and Six in Wigan. Greaves sealed her 51st Women's Series title with a dominant 5-0 win over Gemma Hayter in the Event Six final, averaging 101. Her path to the title included victories over Robyn Byrne (5-2), Eleanor Cairns (5-0), Trina Gulliver (4-2), Laura Turner (4-2), and Laura Van den Berg (4-0). Earlier in the day, Greaves' incredible unbeaten run came to an end at 114 matches when she lost 4-1 to Fallon Sherrock in the second round of Event Five, with Sherrock averaging 102 and Greaves averaging 100.

Lisa Ashton claimed the Event Five title, defeating Fallon Sherrock 5-3 in the final. Ashton's run saw her overcome Julie Whitehouse (4-0), Deta Hedman (4-1), Lorraine Hyde (4-2), Steph Clarke (4-1), Kirsi Viinikainen (5-4), and Gemma Hayter (5-2). This marked Ashton's 19th Women's Series title. Sherrock had reached the final by ending Greaves' streak and defeating Robyn Byrne in the semi-finals.

Other notable performances included Gemma Hayter, who defeated Lisa Ashton 4-0 in the Last 16 of Event Six and also beat Aileen de Graaf in the quarter-finals of Event Five. Rhian O'Sullivan's charge was halted by Kirsi Viinikainen in Event Five. The events featured a strong field including Fallon Sherrock, Lisa Ashton, Noa-Lynn van Leuven, Aileen de Graaf, Rhian O'Sullivan, and Women's World Champion Deta Hedman.

The action continues with two more tournaments on Sunday, with all matches available on PDCTV or DartConnect. The prizes on offer include spots at the Women's World Matchplay, PDC World Darts Championship, and Grand Slam of Darts, though no Tour Cards are awarded to the champion.
