PHILIP BRZEZINSKI HAILED AS 'BEST IN THE BUSINESS' AFTER BERLIN PREMIER LEAGUE MC RETURN

Philip Brzezinski, the popular master of ceremonies, returned to the stage on Thursday evening during the Premier League night in Berlin. With his trademark voice and flair, he immediately lifted the atmosphere in the arena again, something clearly appreciated by both players and fans. This appearance came after the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship, when the iconic master of ceremonies John McDonald called time on his career. McDonald was succeeded by Lewis Jones, although that was not universally welcomed by fans.

Many fans therefore reacted with relief when Philip Brzezinski, the regular master of ceremonies at European Tour events, made his appearance in Berlin on Thursday during Night 8 of the Premier League Darts 2026. Mickey Mansell, currently ranked 48th in the world, also welcomed Brzezinski's presence as MC. "Philip Brzezinski, by far the best in the business," Mansell commented on social media.

The win on Night 8 of the Premier League Darts ultimately went to Luke Littler, who proved too strong for Michael van Gerwen in the final with a 6-4 victory. Thanks to this second straight nightly title, Littler climbs to the top of the standings, just ahead of Jonny Clayton. Van Gerwen is now third. Gian van Veen, who was sidelined briefly after surgery for kidney stones, returned to the big stage in Berlin. However, the 23-year-old Dutchman lost immediately in the quarterfinals, 6-1 to Gerwyn Price. Van Veen remains sixth in the table. Next week the Premier League Darts heads to Manchester for Night 9.
