TED EVETTS SNAPS CHALLENGE TOUR EVENT EIGHT WITH NARROW WIN OVER ADEN KIRK AS OLIVER MITCHELL POSTS HIGHEST AVERAGE

Ted Evetts claimed victory at the eighth event of the PDC Challenge Tour 2026, edging out compatriot Aden Kirk 5-4 in a tight final. The tournament, held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, saw Evetts register a 102.89 average en route to the title, while Kirk impressed with high averages despite the loss.

Oliver Mitchell delivered the highest average of the event, posting 110.51. He dominated in the last 256 with a 5-0 whitewash of former PDC Tour Card holder Nathan Rafferty, but bowed out in the next round after a 5-1 defeat to Switzerland's Bruno Stoeckli. Kirk recorded the second-highest average at 104.18 during a 5-1 win over Dutchman Maikel Verberk in the last sixteen, and also hit 100.81 elsewhere. Patrick Geeraets completed the top three with a 103.88 average in a 5-1 victory over England's Danny Goddard in the last 64, though he later lost 5-3 to Matthew Dennant in the last sixteen.

Other notable averages included Jack Aldridge with 101.92 and 99.19, Graham Usher with 99.45, and Matthew Dennant with 98.43. The Challenge Tour resumes today with the tenth event of the season scheduled in Leicester.
