Nathan Aspinall clinched the title at the European Darts Gala on Saturday evening, narrowly defeating Luke Humphries 4-3 in a tense final at the ring°arena on the Nürburgring. The event, part of the PDC Europe gala series, drew around 4,000 fans who enjoyed top-tier exhibition darts featuring numerous PDC stars, including Gian van Veen, Joe Cullen, Max Hopp, and youngster Yorick Hofkens.
The Darts am Ring Gala marked the fifth staging of the popular Winamax event and was the fourth stop in this year's series, following exhibitions in Wetzlar, Frankfurt, and Leipzig. While these galas do not carry ranking or competitive status, they provide valuable stage experience for players, with particular attention on the 18-year-old Hofkens, the youngest player on the PDC Pro Tour, who gained further exposure in front of thousands of spectators.
PDC Europe will continue its gala series in 2026, with upcoming events scheduled in Neu-Ulm, Bamberg, Magdeburg, Mannheim, Hildesheim, Bremen, Jena, Cologne, and a double-header in Lingen, following the successful stop at the Nürburgring.
