ROB CROSS AND RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD HEADLINE EUROPEAN DARTS GRAND PRIX QUALIFIERS

Ten players have secured their spots for the European Darts Grand Prix, set to take place at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen from April 17-19, 2026, after a qualifier in Leicester. Among the notable names to advance are Rob Cross and Raymond van Barneveld, though other leading lights like Michael Smith and Beau Greaves fell short.

Rob Cross, nicknamed 'Voltage', was the first to qualify, defeating Charlie Manby 6-2 with a 96 average. His path included wins over James Hurrell and Matthias Ehlers. Mickey Mansell also stood out, edging past Darius Labanauskas 6-5 with a 98 average after a standout 6-1 victory over Michael Smith, where he averaged 106. This continued a recent rivalry, with Smith having previously called Mansell a "horrible player" during a qualifier last month. Other qualifiers included Jeffrey de Zwaan, who beat Max Hopp 6-3, and Kim Huybrechts, who defeated Pascal Rupprecht 6-3.

Raymond van Barneveld booked his spot with a 6-2 win over Ian White, while Madars Razma eased past Tom Bissell 6-0. Additional qualifiers were Maik Kuivenhoven, who beat Wesley Plaisier 6-2, Oskar Lukasiak, who defeated Richard Veenstra 6-2, and Keane Barry, who saw off Cristo Reyes with a 100 average. Gian van Veen is already in the line-up for Sindelfingen, alongside Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton, Josh Rock, and Gerwyn Price. Notably, Luke Littler is boycotting Germany, and Luke Humphries will not play.

Several big names suffered early exits. Dimitri van den Bergh lost 6-5 to Adam Gawlas, and Beau Greaves was defeated 6-5 by Ian White, meaning she will not compete in Germany. The qualifier results included detailed scores and averages, such as Jurjen van der Velde's 6-4 win over Benjamin Pratnemer and Keane Barry's 6-4 victory over Cristo Reyes with a 100.18 average.
