JONNY CLAYTON'S UNMATCHED CONSISTENCY DOMINATES PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS SEASON

Jonny Clayton has set a remarkable standard of consistency in the 2026 Premier League Darts, emerging as the only player to occupy a play-off position on each of the first eight nights. The 51-year-old Welshman, known as "The Ferret," has impressed with his stable performances at the highest level, underlining his exceptional form in a competition renowned for its intensity and high standards among the world's best players.

While many rivals have been inconsistent, Clayton delivers week in and week out, showcasing his dominance through statistics. He has by far the highest average position in the standings and has led the table more often than his eight competitors combined. His cool checkout finishing and heavy scoring have made the difference at crucial moments, keeping him firmly in contention.

Currently second in the Premier League Darts after surrendering top spot to Luke Littler, Clayton gets a chance to rebound on the ninth night in Manchester, where he faces Northern Irishman Josh Rock in the quarterfinals—the opponent he lost to last week in Berlin. With eight nights remaining in the regular phase, Clayton looks well on his way to securing a play-off spot, positioning him as a leading contender for the title, which he previously won in 2021 by defeating José de Sousa 11-5 in the final.
