GERMAN DARTS GRAND PRIX HIT BY WITHDRAWALS AS HUMPHRIES, PRICE, ANDERSON, AND DOBEY PULL OUT

Four top players have withdrawn from the 2026 German Darts Grand Prix at the last minute, according to the PDC. The Euro Tour event is set to take place in Munich over Easter weekend, but it will proceed without Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson, Luke Humphries, and Chris Dobey.

Gerwyn Price, who clinched his second nightly win of the 2026 Premier League Darts season in convincing fashion on Night Nine last Thursday, is among the notable absentees. Two-time world champion Gary Anderson will also miss the tournament, having skipped the second and third Euro Tour events after losing in the first round of the Poland Darts Open earlier this year. Reigning German Darts Grand Prix champion Luke Humphries, who won the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze last month, will not make the trip to Germany, while Chris Dobey rounds out the withdrawals. It's noted that Luke Littler and Stephen Bunting are also missing, but they had not even entered the event.

The four withdrawals have been replaced by the highest-ranked players who lost their match in the final round of the Tour Card qualifier: Andrew Gilding, Ian White, Karel Sedlacek, and Cor Dekker. This marks the eighth staging of the German Darts Grand Prix, where Michael van Gerwen has been extremely successful in the past, winning the event in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2025. Last year, Van Gerwen won an all-Dutch final 8-5 against Gian van Veen.
