MITCHELL LAWRIE REACHES SCOTTISH CLASSIC FINAL, GEMMA HAYTER EXITS IN SEMIS

Mitchell Lawrie, the 15-year-old Scottish sensation who lost the WDF World Championship final at Lakeside late last year to Jimmy van Schie, has continued his impressive form by reaching the final of the Scottish Classic. He will face Englishman James Beeton in the decider today. Beeton, 21, advanced with a 5-3 semi-final win over Scott Campbell, averaging 102.75, while Lawrie secured his spot with a comfortable 5-0 victory against Ryan Hogarth.

In the women's event, the final will be contested between Scotland's Sophie McKinlay and England's Macy Gibbons. McKinlay defeated Giffy Khaosoi in the semi-finals, while Gibbons overcame PDC World Darts Championship participant Gemma Hayter 4-2. The women's pairs title went to the Scottish/Irish duo Lynsey Ward and Rebecca Allen, who beat the English pair Michelle Binns and Marie Fitton 3-0.

Earlier in the weekend, the Scottish Open Pairs men's final saw Ryan Hogarth and Welshman Sean Fisher claim a convincing 3-0 victory over the English duo Jenson Walker and Nick Fullwell, posting an excellent team average of 95.94.
