SCOTT WILLIAMS SUFFERS BIZARRE INJURY AFTER CURLING DISASTER: 'I CAUGHT IT IN THE ZIPPER'

English darts star Scott Williams has vowed never to try curling again after a painful and bizarre incident during his stay in Switzerland. The world number 44 was in Zurich for an exhibition event alongside Ricky Evans and Stefan Bellmont ahead of the upcoming Players Championship tournaments when he decided to sample the Winter Olympics staple.

Williams, a 6-foot-4 Englishman, shared his painful experience on TikTok. "I'm in Zurich doing an exhibition with Ricky Evans and Stefan Bellmont before the Players Championship events next week," he said. "We're over here, it's an absolutely delightful venue with delightful players." However, his attempt at curling proved far less delightful.

"But yesterday I experienced curling for the first time. Not hair curling, obviously — my hair is not long enough for that. But curling that is going on in the Winter Olympics right now," Williams explained. He quickly realized the sport wasn't for him, warning fellow tall individuals: "As a large human being — a six-foot-four, without-the-heels-on human being — do not do it. Do not curl. Do not do curling. Do not get stones. Don't even think about it because it is the most ridiculous sport."

The physical consequences were immediate and severe. "It's the most painful sport I have ever experienced in my life and I don't wish it upon anyone. My legs hurt, my neck hurts," Williams lamented. With a wink, he added another specific discomfort: "My penis hurts — that's probably because I caught it in the zipper. But that's a different story. Don't curl." The darts professional made it clear he won't be stepping onto the ice again anytime soon following his painful introduction to the winter sport.
