BEAU GREAVES' HISTORIC 113-MATCH WINNING STREAK DEBATED ON DARTSNEWS PODCAST: 'RIGHT NOW, IT'S POSITIVE'

The DartsNews Podcast, hosted by Kieran Wood and Nicolas Gayer, has delved into the complex implications of Beau Greaves' unprecedented dominance on the PDC Women's Series. Greaves' winning streak now stands at 113 consecutive matches, including 17 titles in a row, while her first appearance as a full PDC Tour Card holder saw her reach the last 16 at Players Championship 1. Wood noted that Greaves is "playing everything she can at the moment," with Gayer adding that in early 2026, "she's probably the player who's thrown the most darts in the PDC system over the last five days."

Wood highlighted Greaves' "lack of complacency," stating she is "dominating every single game" rather than scraping wins. Gayer pointed to the mental challenge, explaining that maintaining such a run against opponents often "not on her level" is difficult because "you don't have someone pushing you." He acknowledged that over 113 matches, dips are inevitable, with averages sometimes around 45 or 50, yet Greaves still avoids being caught out.

The podcast directly addressed whether this dominance is good or bad for the Women's Series. Gayer argued, "Right now, I think it's a good thing," suggesting the streak generates attention as "everyone's watching to see when it ends," citing a recent match against Fallon Sherrock that built tension. However, he cautioned, "Long term, over years, it could become a different conversation. But right now, it's a positive."

Looking ahead, Gayer predicted Greaves may not play the entire Women's Series this year, saying, "I don't see her playing the whole Women's Series this year. After winning the first four events, the story is kind of written already. She could skip the rest and still be the standout." Both hosts emphasized Greaves' measured career management, with Gayer noting she wants to "be careful, not burn out" and Wood adding she "doesn't listen to outside noise," having previously resisted pressure to rush decisions like returning to Ally Pally or skipping Lakeside.
