Chris 'Hollywood' Dobey produced a moment of perfection at Players Championship 5, nailing a nine-dart finish during his second-round clash against Ricky Evans. The Bedlington ace, known for his silky throw, achieved the feat with a sequence of 180, 180, and 141 in the latest ProTour event, delivering one of the most satisfying perfect legs of the year so far.
Dobey started the match with the nine-darter in the opening leg and went on to win the contest 6-3. He averaged 96 in that victory, having earlier defeated Cristo Reyes 6-2 in the opening round. This performance adds Dobey to a growing list of top names who have hit nine-darters this year, including Gian van Veen in Krakow last weekend and Luke Humphries at the World Masters in Milton Keynes.
Dobey's display comes as he looks to prove a point after being snubbed for the Premier League, and he is certainly making his mark with this stunning achievement.
