CHIZZY REFLECTS ON LEICESTER RUN AND PRAISES GREAVES' NINE-DARTER

Dave Chisnall has offered a candid assessment of his recent Players Championship performances in Leicester, expressing frustration over missed doubles but optimism about his scoring form. In his latest column for Kwiff, Chisnall detailed a quarter-final run on Tuesday where he defeated Madars Razma, Nick Kenny, Thibault Tricole, and Ricardo Pietreczko before falling 6-3 to Ross Smith. He highlighted key checkouts, including a 116 to go 5-2 up against Thibault Tricole and a 94 to seal a win over Ricardo Pietreczko, but noted that Smith's big finishes proved decisive as Chisnall raced to a 4-0 lead only to see it slip away.

The following day brought more disappointment, with Chisnall losing to Jurjen van der Velde in a match where his doubles again let him down. He specifically pointed to Double 10 and tops as problematic areas over the two days, stating that sorting them out would improve his chances of winning silverware. Despite the defeats, he took positives from his scoring, mentioning loads of 180s and seven perfect darts in one game.

Amid his reflections, Chisnall praised Beau Greaves for hitting a nine-darter during the week, calling it her first of many and describing her as "some player." Looking ahead, Chisnall faces a busy March schedule, starting with an exhibition in Bolton this weekend, which he enjoys for its proximity to home. He also noted upcoming Euro Tour events in Belgium and Holland and the UK Open in Minehead, viewing them as opportunities to earn prize money as his comeback continues.
