Target Darts have confirmed that 15-year-old darts sensation Mitchell Lawrie has re-signed with the manufacturer on a new contract. Lawrie, who is the current WDF World No.1 and reigning WDF World Youth Champion, will be eligible to make his PDC Q-School debut next year.
Hailing from Renfrew in Scotland and nicknamed 'Wee Sox', Lawrie made history in 2025 by becoming the first teenager to reach the final of the WDF World Championship, where he was defeated by Jimmy van Schie. He also won the WDF World Youth Championship in 2025 and defeated Kaya Baysal in the final of the JDC World Youth Championship at Alexandra Palace.
Lawrie recently became the youngest-ever WDF World No.1 after standout performances on the WDF circuit, including victories at major ranking events like the British Open, Welsh Open, and Irish Classic. A long-time part of the Target system since his days in the Elite 1 development program, he has now signed a full deal to continue with the brand.
Despite comparisons with Luke Littler, who also committed his future to Target Darts in a record deal, Lawrie has emphasized that he is his own player and will forge his own path. He recently hit a nine-darter on the JDC Advanced Tour and is set to play PDC darts next season after likely another Lakeside title bid.
