LITTLER CLAIMS NIGHT SEVEN IN DUBLIN TO CLOSE GAP AT THE TOP AS VAN VEEN SLIPS OUT OF PLAYOFF PLACES

Luke Littler secured his second nightly win of the Premier League Darts 2026 season on Night Seven in Dublin, defeating Gerwyn Price 6-5 in the final to close the gap on leader Jonny Clayton. The event, which runs from February 5 to May 28 across 17 nights, saw Littler overcome Stephen Bunting 6-3 in the quarter-finals and Michael van Gerwen 6-5 in the semi-finals before his narrow victory over Price, who had earlier whitewashed Josh Rock 6-0 and beaten Luke Humphries 6-1. The night also featured a walk-over for Gian van Veen against van Gerwen in the quarter-finals, but van Veen's subsequent absence from the semi-finals contributed to him dropping to sixth in the table.

After seven nights, Jonny Clayton leads the standings with 19 points from two nightly wins and 11 match victories. Littler sits second with 16 points (two nightly wins, eight match wins), followed by Gerwyn Price on 12 points (one nightly win, seven match wins), Luke Humphries on 11 points (no nightly wins, six match wins), Michael van Gerwen on 10 points (one nightly win, five match wins), Gian van Veen on nine points (no nightly wins, six match wins), Stephen Bunting on seven points (one nightly win, four match wins), and Josh Rock yet to register a point. The top four after 16 nights qualify for the play-offs at The O2 in London on May 28.

The Premier League features eight players: defending champion Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, Gian van Veen, Jonny Clayton, Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock, and Gerwyn Price. The format awards five points for a nightly win, three for the runner-up, and two for losing semi-finalists. The champion will earn £350,000 from a total prize fund of £1,250,000, with £10,000 for each nightly win. Broadcast coverage includes Sky Sports in the UK, Peacock in the US, Stan Sport and Fox in Australia, DAZN/Sport1 in Germany, and Viaplay in the Netherlands, though full details are yet to be confirmed.

Upcoming nights include Night Eight in Berlin on March 26, Night Nine in Manchester on April 2, and further stops in Brighton, Rotterdam, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Leeds, Birmingham, and Sheffield before the finals. The calendar also includes venues in Newcastle, Antwerp, Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff, Nottingham, and Dublin, with Antwerp new for 2026 and Cardiff replacing Exeter.
