Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen all advanced to the final day of the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze, but each faced stern examinations in their Saturday evening matches. Littler dispatched Boris Krcmar 6-2, racing to a 5-0 lead with checkouts of 94 and 119 before Krcmar briefly rallied with a 125 finish to avoid a whitewash. Van Gerwen overcame Mickey Mansell 6-3, sealing victory with a 114 checkout after earlier breaks and a 70 finish. Humphries edged Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-4, despite Van Duijvenbode fighting back from 5-1 down to 5-4; Humphries eventually closed it out on double 20.
Home hopes and big names experienced mixed fortunes. James Wade fell 6-2 to Cristo Reyes, who averaged 95 and hit two 180s, while Stephen Bunting lost 6-4 to Andy Baetens in a tense affair where Baetens missed three darts to break early but eventually prevailed. Mike de Decker was eliminated 6-5 by Niels Zonneveld, who came from behind with a 70 checkout and an 87 break to force a decider, which he won with a 54 finish.
The standout result saw Kim Huybrechts defeat Josh Rock 6-4 in a dramatic turnaround. Rock led 4-2 but missed key chances, including 116 for a break, allowing Huybrechts to rally and secure the win on double 20. Jonny Clayton also advanced with a 6-3 victory over Sebastian Bialecki after trailing 3-2, pulling away in the latter legs to continue his strong form.
