GERMAN DARTS GRAND PRIX 2026 PRIZE MONEY BREAKDOWN: £230,000 UP FOR GRABS IN MUNICH

The German Darts Grand Prix 2026, scheduled from Saturday, April 4 to Monday, April 6 in Munich over the Easter weekend, will see a total prize fund of £230,000 distributed. As the fourth event of the PDC European Tour and part of a 14-event series across Europe, the tournament offers not only a trophy and prestige but also significant financial rewards. Every participant entering from the first round is guaranteed a £2,000 appearance fee, with the eventual winner taking home a top prize of £35,000.

The prize money breakdown is detailed as follows: the winner earns £35,000, the runner-up £15,000, semi-finalists £10,000 each, quarter-finalists £8,000 each, third-round losers £5,000 each, second-round losers £3,500 each, and first-round losers £2,000 each. An important nuance applies to seeded players who enter directly into the second round via the Order of Merit; if they lose their opening match, the associated prize money does not count towards the various rankings. However, qualifiers who are subsequently designated as seeded players due to withdrawals will have their earned prize money reflected in the rankings.

The prize money from Munich impacts multiple rankings, counting towards the PDC Order of Merit, the Pro Tour Order of Merit, and especially the European Tour Order of Merit. This latter ranking is crucial, as only the top 32 players qualify via it for the European Championship later in the season. Additionally, a player's position on the European Tour Order of Merit determines seeding for that season finale, meaning competitors in Munich are vying not just for cash but also for a favorable draw heading into the Euro Tour climax in October.
